Your car talks. These ten sounds, smells and lights all mean the same thing: book now.
One to three — sounds: squealing brakes (wear indicators), grinding that changes with speed (bearings or brakes), and a new exhaust rumble (leak or broken hanger). New noises are always news.
Four to six — feels: pulling to one side (alignment or brakes), vibration at highway speed (balance or suspension), and a soft or sinking pedal (hydraulics — stop driving).
Seven to ten — sights and smells: any dashboard warning light that stays on, fluid spots where you park, sweet maple-syrup smell (coolant leak), and rotten-egg exhaust (catalyst or fuel mixture).
